BTW, do Republicans really want to highlight the period when they controlled both sides of Pennsylvania Avenue? As Karoli Kuns at Crooks and Liars points out, 1928 was the start of the Great Depression. She also points out that Coulter got it wrong. Republicans were also in control of congress and the White House from 2002-2007, the end of which was the start of the Great Recession (selective amnesia?).
